Pickman's Folly

"The wild winds of the wastes of Kadath 

swarmed around me like locusts,

They tore my clothing ... ripping ...

shredding the simple rags ...

Tearing at them until I lay naked & exposed..

And the sand like a thousand thousand tiny razors

Cut into my skin 

Bleeding from my head to my toes

Then suddenly the winds disappeared
 I lay in a pool of warm blood and plasma

Darkness and silence enveloped me
as if time itself had stopped..."
